considering the fact that Perry is the daugthter of a White Mormon what does that have anything to do with it?
The idea that party trumps everything is bullshite, as Harris-Perry herself demonstrated when she called out the folks who attacked Romney's Mormonism. Similarly, I've heard a number of Black Republicans call foul over the religious and birther attacks on Obama. And in 2008, I remember a number of Republican women, including Bay Buchanan, call fould when they felt Hillary was being attacked in a sexist manner.
