This season he sat at the half in a game that the Broncos actually had to win even though he only had the record by 1 yard and a stat correction was very possible. Brees was bombing away in the 4th quarter of a game the Saints were winning by like 24+ points the year he broke the yardage record

Brees sat early in a lot of games that year. Until yesterday manning hasn't exited the game once despite some very lopsided scores
