Students use to not show up during thanksgiving until football got good now it's filled.

Saying holidays means every student by 15 of them are out of state.

25 yrs ago students went for free or $2 MAX ! I'm sure they're charged thru the nose or have to sit in line for some inflated prices. College sports have priced out the parents, plain and simple. Money will only be dished out if a team is top tier. Call it bandwagon jumping / fair weather fan or what you will, it's the economy and $$$ is the deciding factor these days. I had all 3 (football/basketball/baseball) season tickets, now I'm down to baseball. I still would do basketball again, but football is just too $$$. Having parties at home for the 2-3 good games (football) at home is much more enjoyable now.

It's only filled because TAF way oversells the student section for the Thanksgiving week game and gives the senior players' parents tickets to sit in the upper sections to make it more filled since so many students are out of town.

Basketball simply doesn't have enough alumni that want tickets to counteract the fact that over 3/4 of LSU's student body is now more than an hour away from campus. Baton Rouge is dead from the end of finals until mid January.
