I would say 6 traps ought to cover it. For coyote I move my trap pan out 11 inches from the hole and make sure you brush it in good. No footprints around the front of the set and wear gloves here's a couple pics from last year that might help you

What do you bait the hole with?
Damn thats pretty slick. There is a bobwire fence on two of the 4 sides. I might start there.
