Great point until you consider computers are programmed by people with inherent bias as well.
Thus the wide disparity amongst computer-based ranking models such as we see today.
There is simply no viable way to separate the computer element from the human element when humans write the computer codes. Duh

You can program the computer to ignore any margin of victory over 28 points.
You can add more weight to defeating teams ranked in top 10, top 25 etc.
You can penalize teams for playing div. 2 or teams ranked in the bottom half of Div 1
