If we get Hootie that's all well and good, but don't let Adams slip away. He's the safety prospect that we NEED for Chief's defense. I'm still #Ridin4Jamal with or without Hootie.

I've never seen a defense that only played one safety

I'd like to have Hootie but I'm all in for Jamal. Had he not committed early to Bama, I'd feel the opposite but that just wasn't the case.

This is going to be batted around a lot with the news of Hootie decommitting from Bama so let's get the facts straight. Hootie is a SS prospect. Adams is a FS prospect. One is not the back-up plan for the other, and LSU will take BOTH in a heartbeat. Hootie showed more interest in LSU earlier while Jamal was considered a UT/UF battle, that's the only reason Jamal wasn't mentioned more here until Hootie committed elsewhere. It's coincidence. Their respective recruitments SHOULDN'T interfere with each other, but that will probably be spun as the case countless times here and on the SECrb. Don't take the bait. Don't make comments about which would you rather, and please don't say anything that could be taken as a flame toward either recruit for whatever reason. Geaux Tigers and let's get em both.

If we get both we'll be back to that 2003, 2006, 2007, 2011 defense with swagger

Can we stop choosing one over the other? Both are 5* studs. Let's leave it at that. One is not above the other.

I'm not sure how much more recruiting our coaching staff can do before they announce on the 2nd. Both sides are confident about Adams, which may be why Shea still hasn't made a call for him. This may all be on Paris and CG!

I think that's the general consensus. But....

Why start a thread like this? We want both but not one over the other. Both are great players. Both would be greatly appreciated in P&G. While a positive message to Adams this may come of as a negative thread to Hootie. We don't need this shite.

Good thing they play different positions so they are equally valuable.
