this is sort of a catch-22 situation. fanbase wants compelling OOC matchups, but these teams refuse to play the home and home.

I ain't buying the teams refuse to play home and home. Wisconsin and LSU are bascially playing a home and home, except for neither team gets to experience the other teams home stadium atmospheres, which are both among the nations best.

Clemson and UGA just played a home and home. Oregon and Tennessee just played a home and home.

It can be done.

It CAN be done, but people underestimate just how hard it is to get a major program to come to Baton Rouge to play us. I'm pretty glad we've been able to have recent home and homes with Washington and West Virginia. That's not all that bad. Of course, I'd like to have home and homes with major programs all the time and ditch the neutral site shite, but that's just the way things are with our program and the landscape of college football. People want us for nationally televised neutral site games and very, very few teams will come to Tiger Stadium

It's not as easy as you think. LSU hasn't lost a non-conference game at home in over a decade. Teams aren't exactly getting in line to come down here especially when they know the game will likely be at night.
