Why in the hell would Harbaugh and/or Tomlin leave the the League for a college job?

I'm sure from a stress point it would significantly easier, but they're both doing well and are at some of the better franchises.

My old college coach who coached in the NFL and now coaches at LSU told me he rather coach in the NFL due to the hours.(I fill like I said "coach" too many times lol) NFL is more like a 9-5 job with a couple of months off if your not in the playoffs. College is more like 12-14 hour days with barely 2 weeks off due to recruiting. In the NFL each team has their own scouting team and GM. The coaches get to discuss what their needs are but they don't have to do the job finding them. He also mentioned that in college you have to worry a bit more about your players than in the NFL.
Just thought y'all might would like a little insight from a coaches prospective.
ETA: To say he said it was more like a 9-5, it isn't a 9-5. Sorry about that. They do a lot of film work and break down.

That's the second time I think you've indicated that. College coaches work like dogs too, you know.
