Team falls apart when Brees is disrupted..and I mean the entire team. Start with the quick throws..get the ball out fast. Move the chains. Brees will find his rhythm and early success will charge up the rest of the team.

Yesterday was about play-calling in the initial drives. That's on Payton.

Brees is the key and screens and quick passes are the only way for him to get in the groove. Even 20 yards passes are too much at first. Nothing deep until he's warmed up, nothing deep until his timing is right and nothing deep until he's accustomed to the game-speed.

Everyone knows this. Which is why you are seeing defenses shutting the screens down early. Our receivers aren't quick enough for the quick passes that made us so lethal in the past. So basically, we are getting in situations where we are having to look downfield. Brees is taking more time than ever to make decisions, mainly because it's taking forever for our Receivers to get open, and the Oline which never had to be world beaters, is getting there asses handed to them because they aren't good enough to give Brees 3-5 to find somebody. We simply don't have the horses this year. And frankly, I'm a bit concerned when we will after Graham is signed and almost all of our Offensive side of the salary cap is spent on 2 players. We need a solid draft of Olineman and another WR in the worst way.
