The freshman almost won that game after having done nothing all year.

Jordan Shipley almost won that game for Texas. Not Garrett Gilbert. Both of his touchdown passes were to a wide open Shipley who got open by making some incredible moves on our corners.

We were also very one dimensional in that game because McElroy couldn't really throw due to his injured ribs.

the entire game would have played differently obviously. I was very disappointed as a fan and for McCoy, because no question Texas could move the ball on them. And Gilbert gift wrapped a TD to Bama right before the half, basically putting the game out of reach. In the 2nd half Saban wouldn't even let McElroy throw the ball just eating clock, Texas made a late push but the Bama run game wore em down. I honestly think UT would have won the game had CM not gotten hurt, but would have been close for sure....i thought it was a great matchup, College football lost that night
