Listened to Phil talking to Chris Childers tonight on XM 91. I like this guy. Former GM of the Browns, knows football. He said that 3 months ago, you could never convince him that Saban would ever leave Bama. Now he's not so sure.

He made a great point. "Saban is a builder, but not a sustainer." This is the longest (7 years) he has ever been at one place. Savage thinks Saban doesn't give a crap about legacy or statues. He continually wants new challenges. He thinks he might be gone.

We shall see.

I heard that too and you dont get more credible guy on football generally in State of Alabama that Phil. Love the guy and he has been great for the Senior bowl. BTW, the is the same thing all my buddies and relatives in Louisiana say about Nick. (I am trying to find out if he stopped by on "his recruiting" visit. He likes to build things up and feels the pressure of maintaining for some reason. The typical entrepreneur personality.

Savage was on his regular sirius XM show just a little while ago laughing at people thinking Saban was leaving.

Uh...I don't know if you're bullshitting or if Phil Savage is bipolar. But he was on his show today saying in no uncertain terms that Saban was not going to Texas.

i've been saying this.

saban himself has said this exactly. he enjoys building a program up more so than maintaining.

why not do it at 3 big schools. he's done enough at bama.

One statement ends it all. Has Saban lost his voice?

I respect Phil's opinion but I'll just go with the tone of this board and say no one knows what the frick they are talking about.

that includes you, Bama homers.
