Sawtooth Oaks grow much more rapidly than most other oaks. The produce acorns at literally about 5-7 years. The only thing I don't like about them is their leaves die in the winter, but don't fall off until spring when new leaves sprout.

Get you some of these. They flower in late spring, and the one my folks planted has shot up like a rocket.

That is because they are native to Japan. I have planted these and love them as do the deer. The acorns come in shells.
