My 2 year old Boykin does the same thing to my 6 month old Labkin (half lab half boykin). I think it is hilarious and she only does it once he starts messing with her. My vet said not to worry about it unless he starts yelping in pain or she draws blood.
Eventually the male will either tell her who is boss or just learn to live with it.
