they are definitely trying to follow Boston's mold i think. Of more solid players than 1-2 super stars. Which may work.

I still think they will need 1 big bat, which could have been Cano.

hopefully Teix can rebound, but he's been trending downnnnn every year since 2008

He is basically what Ellsbury is...

Last Year:
Gardner: .273/.344/.416
Ellsbury: .298/.355/.426

Career:
Gardner: .268/.352/..381
Ellsbury: .297/.350/.439

Big thing is Boston let Ellsbury run wild and he had an astronomical percentage 52 stolen bases only 4 caught stealing.

FA after next season...although it doesn't make much sense. He's a solid outfielder and while he doesn't set the world on fire with his bat he does get on base and scores. Hopefully he's part of a deal for...

I think he could be a 25-30 HR hitter in YS, plus he fills the void now and in the future at 3B. He is a FA after next season and SD hasn't been able to lock him up. I think he can be had.

Would probably be Gardner, Nuno, and another prospect for Headley

I really don't understand the thinking of GM's sometimes.

He's not flashy and people don't really appreciate the stuff he does well. He's extremely patient at the plate, doesn't hit into many double plays, plays a really good OF, and has good speed.

IDK if they'll let Nuno go though. I think Sanchez will be the big prospect to go if they deal for anyone.

Supposedly they're kicking the tires on getting Kemp but IDK if I want him.

I would imagine they go after Beltran pretty hard now.

He frustrates me with his inability to steal an important base. For someone as fast as he is, hes not a very good baserunner.

I hope not but they may make a panic move. Gonna be hard to get him for $15-million or less IMO.

They would be fine with an Ellsbury, Gardner, Ichiro, Wells, Soriano OF. Not much power outside of Soriano and Wells/Ichiro would rotate in I guess with Soriano doing more DH work

Idk why they're supposedly still looking at Choo and Beltran but passed on Grandy. Idk if he was just dead set on 4+ years or what but I wouldn't have minded 60/4 for him.

Infante or Drew will probably come to town now to play 2B and Yankees have to work on a deal for Headley as they have no 3B options on the market.
