I wanted so badly to like android. I really did. Downloaded swiftkey, switched over to google contacts, etc. There was so much great about it.
I really think my experience was soured by getting the HTC OneX over the GSIII. The battery life was shite, random discharges, ATT's complete lack of updates. HTC's software was not compatible with my brand new laptop, but was with my 10 year old desktop, so I couldn't synce my phone from my laptop. The form factor is not a huge deal for me; I actually like not having a brick in my pocket.
