I had the original Samsung Captivate (galaxy S1) and then the Galaxy S2 before making the switch to the iphone 4s, which is what I'm still currently using. With the Samsungs they both started out great but after about 9 mths to a year with each the batteries started to drain super fast to the point that I practically needed to keep them charging all the time. Then the charger cord port on the phone (mini usb) would get so worn out that the Galaxy phones wouldnt charge anymore.

When I first got this iphone 4s battery life was far and away better than the Samsungs were when I got them brand new. It has since deteriorated now and i'm looking to get a new phone. I havent decided to make the jump back to Android or to the 5s yet.

The GS4 has been out for a while now but I see people love it. How far from being considered the cutting edge for Android is it? If it's not, what Android phone is? (excluding the Note 3, I dont like the size)

Give it a few more months the phone will go to shite. I have had both phones and the Samsung always ends up getting really slow and almost unusable. Apple makes a much better product who offers better warranties.
