Yes, but he was a true freshman and starting for the first game by then, and the potential he showed in that game is hard to be overlooked and not get pumped. And how did it end up?

Jennings may as well do the same thing in this year's bowl game, and I bet you it will be very difficult for anyone, including me, to keep a cool head and not raise the expectation on him even though the JJ drama was just around the corner.

I am no scout but throwing screens does not mean potential to me. EVERY qb in college can hit that the majority of the time.

he had a decent sophomore season. but then he slumped badly afterwards. Jordan was a bit of an anomaly in that most QBs tend to improve over time, he didn't.

pretty much every QB we've had since I've been watching LSU (since Herb pretty much) has gotten better with experience. I'd think the odds are Jennings (or whomever ends up being the next QB) would fall in that category as well.

You dumbass, JJ played a good bit in the last four games of his true fresh season started the last 2 and his stats were poor.


Troy -- 1/6 5 yards, 7 car 17 yards 1 TD

Ole Miss -- 10/20 129 yards 1 TD 1 INT, 10 car 23 yards

Arkansas -- 9/21 143 yards 2 TDs, 19 car 50 yards (decent)

GT -- 16/25 142 yards 1 TD, 10 car 25 yards
