Watching Nick The Great's post game presser made me proud of Les
Nick Saban (or Gus or Spurrier, etc etc) would be ticked off if their team barely escaped at home against an 0-8 Arkansas team. They expect their teams to play better than that. I wouldn't be so proud of a guy who is supposed to be elite being so happy to barely beat Arkansas.

Anyone who watched the presser knows he wasn't happy with the way the game was played, he was happy for his team that they got the win. Celebrate the win after the game, after all that is the object of playing it. Worry about the details the next day when you go back to work.

Anything and everything Les Miles does is fine. Doesn't matter what happens during the season. They're satisfied. I'm glad they're in the gross minority of the fan base.

That's exactly our point you backwards arse putz! Les went to the presser with nothing but love for his guys and their comeback victory against our yearly rival! We LSU fans know exactly what Arky's damn record is this year and we love Les for not acting Like Saban and trying to talk like any team like Arky shouldn't be on the same field as his! He shows respect damnitt! He shows it genuinely and doesn't have to force it! He would take heat off of anyone who plays for him or coaches for him.
This is our point you dumb arse! Do you really think that abn LSU fan would start a thread about how our coach thought that their last game was a good one if it was the same response that any other coach in the nation would have came up with? NOOO! Les pointed out the fact that this extremely young team (who lost more starters to the NFL last year than most teams put there in a decade) is persevering against adversity and winning instead of getting beaten on a last minute drive like they did against Geo earlier in the year!
He praised their true freshman QB for performing like an All American Senior in the clutch last minutes! He praised a defense that is nearly totally revamped from last year for locking down their opponent in the last couple of possessions!
You can keep your high and mighty bullshite and make a mudpie out of it to throw at Saban's U-Haul on his way to Texas.

I think we all "expected" them to do better.. but I'm not sure how being ticked off, after the fact, would help anything.
Are you saying that Gus being pissed off after the 7 point win against Washington State is what spurred Auburn on to the incredible 4 point win against MS. State?
It's the fckin SEC bro. If you've ever actually watched you would know that virtually any team can beat any other team on any given day.
Especially "rivalry" games.

I'd be ticked if I had over 15k posts ... At 10 minutes a post for reading, pondering, typing you have over 2,500 hours invested here. What have you done with your life?

Agree with this. Les' apparent satisfaction with his teams dismal performance against a winless conf. rival isn't endearing to me. While Saban may be an arrogant arse, at least he demonstrates a comprehension of his teams performance and events on the field. CLM looks removed from the whole thing- during the game and in his presser. It may be cute and endearing on occasion, but I'd prefer Les be more contrite given this game as opposed to his usual goofy self
