arse-kickings occur in the NFL sometimes. We did the same thing to New England when we won the Super Bowl (I know, not the most positive comparison). Same situation- facing a good team at home, wanting a statement game in primetime. Moment of glory, etc. The Saints tonight, like the Patriots then, viewed it as... a road game.

And that's all it is. The 2 games with the Panthers are the big games, not this tonight. It would have been nice to win, but not the end of the world; and teams that get scorched like us tonight tend to come out the next time around and win big.

While I really wanted a victory tonight to help ensure home field, you are totally correct. Winning the Division is paramount no matter what.

I remember some team on primetime last year doing the same thing we did last night and getting to the Super Bowl. They also played @Seattle. It happens to every team. Seattle will get theirs eventually.
