He made the right call. Its obvious saban had faith in his kicker otherwise he would have elected for a hail Mary. That kicker has probably made that in practice before, he just couldn't handle ?the pressure mounted on him. Still its funny how it happened. One thing for sure that will make teams around ?the nation reevaluate their field goal teams and put some athletes out yhere

Which he should have done, or at least trust your heisman candidate QB to get you in position for an easier field goal.

Kind of dumb for a coach to put the kicker in that situation, no? The guy is 1-2 in his career with a long of 20. Why trust him with a 57 yarder but not a 35 yarder with a chance to make it a 2 possession game?
