WTF? It's not like someone paid him because he's a basketball player. He went out on his own and competed in a contest and won? WTF kind of jurisdiction does the NCAA have over that?

They don't actually because it's not the NCAA, it's the NAIA.

I think he has a case to keep the money and his eligibility. He's not being paid to play basketball; hopefully a good tax attorney will lend a hand and make the case for him.
