It's a Mike Sanders custom knife

I don't know much about these kinds of knives. What is the value of a knife like this? Is it a knife I should use, or should I put it up for display with my custom duck call? All I really use are pocket knives and filet knives, and an old hickory for cleaning ducks.

Any info would be appreciated just to know a little about what I have. I feel like it's a nice piece that can be an heirloom, being that it's the only one like it.

Then that is your answer , regardless if it is worth $10 or $5,000

If it's one of a kind, then keep it for display.

A knife similar to that is on eBay from almost 500. I'm on my phone so can't link, but most of his knives seem to be at least a few hundred dollars

Could be up to $500 bucks. I'd keep it and just look at and fondle it on occasion. Good to have stuff!

i would use it, not put it on display.

BUT, i would try to be careful with it for a while...

then i'd end up using it as a hammer/screwdriver when i got in a pinch. then i would be pissed off that i nicked it up. then i wouldn't be as careful with it. then it would join the other 100 knives with imperfections in my dresser drawer

Use it. A $500 knife isn't worth anything if it stays in a case all the time.

Great knives - we have 2 in the skinning shed, strictly used for skinning, they hold an incredible edge. Keep it clean, polish it up every year and it will look like the knife in your picture for a long time.

I would use it. It was made for work, not to be hung up on the wall....IMO.
