Was it Ron Franklin or Mike Patrick that got canned for calling Holly Rowe "Babe"?

ron

also told jenine edwards in a production meeting 'leave this to the boys, sweet baby'

i think he was ready to be canned after getting demoted from the sec primetime game to doing humdrum baylor vs kansas state big 12 matchups in the afternoon.

FSOne should try and bring him out of retirement.

How far back will these refs push the LSU game? I've got the DVR set for 730, but it may not start til 9 if the next two are called like this.

Could be.
We have to leave the arena after this game, and come back in for the next session. Way this is going we'll step outside & turn around and come right back in.

I always wonder how the refs work. Do they have 4 diff crew or just two and they rotate games? If they rotate, we'll have the wazzou/butler crew and that's fine with me.

You know what's awesome about these games on ESPN? Dan Dakisch on the halftime show.

Whenever I said awesome, I meant to say fricking terrible.

Interesting Fact About St. Joseph's Mascot

quote:

The Hawk, which celebrated its golden anniversary in 2005-06, is best known for staying in constant motion by flapping its wings throughout every basketball game and representing the Saint Joseph's motto, "The Hawk Will Never Die."

quote:

A few years ago, ESPN used a "flap-o-meter" on the national telecast of a Saint Joseph's game to estimate that the Hawk flaps its wings 3,500 times during a regulation game.

The Hawk is unique because it is one of the few mascots in the nation that travels to every game, and the student who holds the position gains a full scholarship. The student, who is selected through an interview process during the previous spring semester, also serves as a team manager for the men's basketball team and travels with the squad.

Kid earns his scholarship….thats a lot of flapping

I bet he always looks like he's wearing shoulder pads.

Good stuff though, I like learning about other schools traditions and what not.

Surprised Butler- Wash St. was so close. Butler did not look better than Purdue. Even though KenPom rates them higher.

In bar talking to Memphis fans. Pretty nice ppl. Had nice things to say about CJJ. Say they're looking fwd to playing us tomorrow LOL. Warned us that St. Joes play a slow & deliberate half court game that can suck you in. I said "perfect, have we got the press for them!"

Also told me that Memphis doesn't really push that much, not as fast as you think. Hmmmmm

Dunham looked impressive for Butler. He just looks like a gym rat.

I feel like some people around here are underestimating St. Joe's. I think they're well-coached, and they'll shoot 3's well. It'll be a tough challenge tonight.

no doubt it will be a tough game. Martelli is a great coach and will have that team ready to go.
