You're using the word "seeding", but that has little to do with it. Those are the #s at which a bowl picks. They face a little pressure, but are under no obligation to pick solely based on Conference rankings.
I'm going to hold out hope for:
LSU/Texas in the Cotton OR
LSU/Michigan in the Gator Bowl
If either Bowl (or the SEC) gets to set up those matchups, they will.
