No denying that, but that's not the same thing as being gimmicky. Gimmicky is trick plays, lots of motion, etc., IMO. I'm probably being a bit of a homer and am definitely pissed at this game, but Baylor pretty much lines up and runs ball right at you. Their passing game definitely has moments when it relies on timing, but what teams don't. I wouldn't say theirs is overly dependent on timing plays.

If you play in the Big12 you likely have a gimmick offense that shits its bed against a physical team.

I don't think Baylor is that gimmicky. I just think they usually don't have a good defense and aren't really tested very many times per year.

I think gimmicky is used to mean "less physical" around here a lot of times.
