Dude read the articles. If someone you know is raped and a detective "encourages" them not to press charges are you going to oblige him? Or tell him to shut the frick up and do his job? From January to April they repeatedly asked if he had collected DNA evidence from the suspect and had he interviewed the roommate which she claims witnessed the rape. The whole time the detective says no because, "he doesn't want to tip off the suspect". But he had already told the suspect's attorney in February that the case was closed.

Are you under the impression that she decided not to press charges at some point?
