I know this kid as well. He is a beast. He's probably a legit 6-2.5" he may have picked up another have inch in height since then.
I believe he's being heavily recruited by WVU, ULL, ULM, USM, ND. He's getting mail from Arizona State and a few other schools as well.

He can play either side of the ball. He's a good center as well.

West Monroe has played Neville in the jamboree for a while. You mean the scrimmage at LC? I don't remember that at all. I'll ask some WM coaches about him though.

As far as the kid, stats look good. Competition is terrible though. One of the few I would be in favor of getting a camp offer. If he shows up and absolutely destroys the competition, sign him up.

Do we have a spot for the guy in 2015?

Well, we've already got a Long snapper committed...so no one knows if we can take 2, and redshirt one.

The MPSA rarely puts kids in SEC schools. That said, when they do make it, they tend to do well. Ridley, Cam Lawrence (MSU), Cody Prewitt (OM), Anthony Steen (Bama), Tip McKenzie (Vandy), LSU had an often injured, All-SEC lineman a few years ago out of Centerville Academy whose names escapes me at the moment.**

Point being, like stated by others, harder to evaluate, but doesn't mean they are not or cannot be very good.

I am referring to that jamboree. I was there and saw it. He was raw and still was able to penetrate and make a few tfl.

His best attribute is his quickness off the ball and raw strength.

As stated earlier, he has Ben to a few camps including the rivals 250, where he destroyed an o lineman that is already commited to lsu.

To answer the competition issue. Last year he played and started as a soph at Zachary and put up some huge numbers. H also started as a 14 yr old freshman and absolutely destroyed west Monroe in a jamboree. He is now approx 6-3" 294. He also plays center and is also equally good there.

I know the coaches at ZHS well. they said the kid was going to be a beast. And they really wish he was still there. He DID start as freshman but not all of your post is factual.

Last year as a soph he was at Silliman. He did start most of the year as a 9th grader at ZHS. He played on the 2nd team portions in a scrimmage against WM.

I never said he started. I said he played well. My facts are correct. Trust me. By the way, Zachary may have a shot at him coming back

I went to silliman. It's where Lyle hitt went before going to park view...

We got Stevan Ridley out of the MPSA. It's harder to evaluate those kids, because of the level of competition, but that's what camps are for. But, yes, stats are meaningless.

Yep. We had 160 LB guards... Lyle moved to park view to get more looks.

I think this kid looks awesome.

You're facts are not correct. You DID say he started as a sophomore at Zachary. He was at Silliman last year as a sophomore.

None of those facts change that this kid is really good.

No, he isn't. And that's not a very good way to make a first impression on this board.

After watching his tape, Ray Charles could see that this kid is tough as nails and runs from sideline to sideline in pursuit. Forget the competition. This young man could start and do well on any high school team.

Where ever he played he would be better off at Zachary for exposure. They will play a lot of decent teams in the regional and other players on the team will draw scouts. Lindsey Scott will start to draw some looks this year at QB at ZHS.

He wont see the light of day at Silliman and his accomplishments will be astericked for that reason. With that said - Steven Ridley played at a small MPSA school in Natchez.
