Actually, 2011 was anomaly due to how bad their offense real was. A national ranking in offense of #86 sure as hell didn't get you into a national championship. It was a defense ranked #2 in total defense with a #2 rank in turnover margin. You then got annihilated by the team ranked #1, Bama.
