While the light bar seems superfluous right now, in a couple years I'm sure there will be games that utilize it in a cool way.
I remember when the PS1 controller got analog sticks, you could click them in but nothing would happen. Then Ape Escape came along and made you click the analog sticks for essential functions, and now every game has that feature.

the first time a game told me to press R3 or L3, i looked at my controller, turned it upside down and was like
