You can't ask a coach whose run is at its end to surround himself with better coaches and think that will fix things. Start with the head coach. We brought Saban in here. Let's bring in the next Saban.

Don't know if you've heard yet, but Les just signed a contract extension at the beginning of the season. He's not even close to being on the hot seat with the organization, so really, his run is just starting.

Miles renegotiated his contract after he hoodwinked Alleva into thinking that he might bolt for Arkansas. In that renegotiation, LSU removed the automatic rollover clause from his contract. If LSU gave him another contract extension, then they got played.

An 8-5 or 7-6 finish this season (assuming we lose the bowl game) followed by a similar record next season, and his seat will get pretty warm, especially if Bama wins the BCS again and we lose out on key recruits. The TAF big wigs will find the money somewhere to buy him out when the time comes. I wouldn't be surprised if they've already started the process because they see the writing on the wall. Hopefully, they would get rid of Miles before he has a chance to completely run the program into the ground,
