Question: What do you think are the 2 or 3 major changes that Les needs to make to catch up to Alabama and keep ahead of Auburn, Ole Miss and Texas A&M?

1. Consistent Discipline (on and off the field)

To me that is the biggest problem with LSU football for the past three years. If kids understand or expect to screw up with no repercussions then what prevents them from making it routine.

How come a running back fumbles and doesn't see the field for 3 quarters, but a qb throws a bad pick and stays in for the next series, or a defender absolutely gets lost in coverage and is thrown back out there. Back to back fumbles are as common as unicorns, but they are dealt the biggest blow.

Also Jeremy Hill sitting out entire quarters is baffling to many, he's the best player and gets lost somehow for a 3rd stringer? It doesn't add up far too often.

2. A return to fundamental tackling

This isn't just a problem at LSU, it's across college ball, but the bump tackle drives me crazy. Wrap up and drive your hips. Arm tackles are far to common on this years team, as is just a general lack of physicality. Out of position, poor angles and blown coverage has been rampant as well. If one kid was doing it, I'd blame the kid, but with so many players and at different positions (ie DB's and LB's) having problems, I think it goes back to coaching.

Just my thoughts
