As an alum and someone who has been going to Bama games since I was a little kid in the 80s, it is sad. Alabama's band use to be a much more prominent part of the gameday experience back in the 80s, 90s, and even early 2000s. It has never been as good and interactive with the fans as it is at LSU or Florida, but it was still good back in the day. Having said that, the music played in the stadium and the overall presentation has gotten much better believe it or not the last 7 or 8 years. The only things that really annoy me about the stadium experience is hearing the S&C coach ranting like a lunatic and our PA announcer being such a homer with the 1st down calls. I also wish they'd go ahead and hook the pregame show by the band on the stadium sound system because you can't hear the band unless they are directly facing you. I wish the presentation was a little less NFL like but other than those things it's not bad.
