The schedule is still unfair and will remain so as long as the permanent opponent rule exists.

Moving forward, Florida and Georgia will consistently dominate the SEC East with superior talent and superior coaching.

Yet the same six teams keep winning the conference. The permanent opponent hasn't gotten in anybody's way.

This schedule argument is foolish. LSU's eastern opponents weren't that great this year. Georgia is probably going to drop 4 games this season and Florida probably won't be going to a bowl game this year.
