Man, I have mixed emotions on this story. On the one hand, I don't believe it would be 10% as much of a story if Incognito was (really) black and Martin was white. I think the racial component of this situation is fueling 90% of this story and making it national news.
At the same time, regarding Incognito, I wouldn't want that 300 point maniac living next door to me. Some of you 170 pound internet tough guys, who are acting like Incognito is your newest hero, wouldn't want him anywhere near you, either.
Finally, the fact that a nutjob like this can be so well-respected among his peers speaks volumes about the mindset and character of a large percentage of NFL players. It just reinforces what I already thought; it's fine to root for them on Sundays, but a person would have to be pretty stupid to look up to the majority of these guys as either heroes or role models.
