The S&W DA action is inferior to the old v-spring Colt DA action IMO.
- The Colt cylinder turns clockwise which pushes the cylinder / crane into the frame, not away like the S&W.
- The 2 stage hand on the Colt locks the cylinder into perfect alignment with the bore when the trigger is pulled (zero cylinder movement).
- The Colt cylinder latch design allows the shooter to press his thumb against it steading the gun during off-hand shooting.
Other folks prefer Smiths. More power to them.
