I'm positive that I'm one of the few that felt that BO2 was the best CoD since 4. It made all the right choices when it comes to competitive. eSports for BO2 were great. There is going to be a dip (again) because of this game. Once again Infinity Ward has proved to give zero fricks about what anyone actually wants.

No CoDcaster.. Why? Can anyone think of a good reason?

The maps are awful. A lot of people think they're too big; I agree, although now the action is starting to settle into hotspots so its not as bad in that regard.. HOWEVER, they still fricked up BAD with these maps. Again, the "traditional" cod map has 3 lanes, usually with some extra branches but its the general formula at the conception of a map.

There are no lanes on these maps. Not a single one. They are all just a big clusterfrick. I'm not sure why they decided to do this.. Maybe for the same reason they increased weapon damage and added game modes like cranked.. They actually thought camping was a problem? I have no idea. Either way, terrible. There is not a single map that is worthy of being a competitive map.

Game modes. No idea what they were thinking. Hard point was the best thing that ever happened to CoD.. from a competitive standpoint. I guess maybe IW didn't include all of this stuff because they didn't want to be accused of copying TA. Idk. They have announced SnD will be back on the 15th, but I want hard point. There are other modes that people want back too; I support them, although I don't play them.

Spawns. This is a recurring issue for CoD. You would think that with these massive maps, you might be able to spawn safely most of the time. Not really. There's been 4-5 times where I spawned, took ONE step and died instantly without any chance to see anyone or fight back. Pretty bad.

Weapon damage.. There's some sort of debate going on about this. It seems like when you get shot you die instantly, with no warning, most of the time. Then you watch the killcam and they actually put like 4-7 shots into you. I think they fricked with the indicators that you're being shot. They seem delayed.
Weapon damage is still too high, but this seems to be a factor in the perception that you die too fast. No idea if this is fixable with the game already live.

I'm not really impressed with this game. It just seems bland. For me, there was at least a little excitement when MW2, BO1 and BO2 came out. I have not felt that for MW3 and Ghosts. I hardly played MW3.. It was trash. Most other CoDs I at least played for 4-5 prestiges.

IW is just going down the wrong path. A lot of the issues that people don't like about CoD are their fault; people herald MW2 but it really was the turning point for some of the seriously shitty things in the series, namely increased weapon damage with no counter (stopping power with no jug? Seriously?)

Anyways, I digress. Game is a 3/10. Feels rushed. Activision needs to bring a 3rd studio into this equation and give each company 3 years to develop each game instead of 2. It will make the quality better.
