Nola has the stuff to overpower hitters. Glenn has to live on corners moreso than Nola does.

I understand now. I thought you meant he was glad Ross was gone?

Ross should be able to come back and we can dh for him....

Aaron doesn't need a savvy catcher getting him extra strike calls like Glenn does.
Every pitchers wants/needs a savvy catcher. But MOAR importantly, a catcher who can keep runners out of scoring position. They would rather worry about throwing than being responsible for holding a runner a first.
ETA: my phone autocorrected to "MOAR". I didn't mean to type it. IT KNOWS THE SEASON IS NEAR!!!

Right but Glenn needs it more.
If any pitcher on the staff can compensate for the loss of Ross it's Nola. Not the other way around.

Nola won't matter who who the catch is. But a pitch and catch can get in a groove. He will miss Ross I have no doubts.

I miss Ross. We've been so spoiled at that position.

BTW I'm in no way ready to assume Moore does all the little things best at catcher. He may but we haven't even seen sciv yet.

Your right. How good was gibby tho?

Did you mean to post a pic of the bat girls?

I'll agree with you here. I've only seen one practice and one scrimmage and Sciv was at 1B in the scrimmage I think. He may very well be a polished defensive catcher and I should not judge the skills of someone I have not seen much of. We'll see soon enough. Moore is way more polished than Chinea though.
Damn, I love LSU baseball.

No doubt. I've noticed that as well.

Yep. The fact that Moore can play 1B too may end up costing him the C position. If nobody steps up there, I figure Coach will move Moore there. Chinea is not a realistic option at 1B IMO.

The uncertainty is killing me, Kim.

Yeah and you kinda want chineas bat in the lineup. So perhaps a DH against left handed pitchers. With that said I know PM really likes McMullen as the leadoff and if you DH chinea you lose that, plus you get slower.
Lot of moving parts.
