How is he not right? Our defense is Swiss cheese and the offense isn't good enough to make up for it. The Ole Miss loss started this. Alabama and Texas A&M will finish it.

8-4 around here will be considered a massive failure and the negativity will take over.

It isn't so much that the team will be 8-4 and have had a down season. It is the NEGATIVITY against Miles that will sink this ship. It will grow and grow.

People leaving games early . . .
Constant criticism . . .
Every half-way decent player we have going pro early even if they are a 6th round pick or UDFA . . .

College football programs cannot sustain this over the long haul. LSU is not meeting its valley.

Honestly, all of the guys leaving early on Defense is the real culprit. Over half of them weren't ready to go, but they left anyway. They all saw themselves as stars and that came from the 2011 season. But, they weren't. 2011 continues to wreak vengence on the LSU program.

8-4? Fair value? We could go 8-4 with a million dollar a year coach.

Why don't we let the guys play the games before we start tossing anyone or group under the bus.

Miles is responsible for the program, but I am hard pressed to lay Ga and Miss on coaching more than play between the lines.

As to the "eulogy" stuff, some at/around LSU has made cliff jumping into an art. I recall reading much the same BS in in 08-09.

I'll hang with the guy with the 90+ wins in 8+yrs for awhile and others can start working their way to the cliffs.

I call bullshite since FSU lost 11 players to the draft last year, and they seem to be just fine. This excuse is wearing thin. College football is won or lost on the recruiting trail. You lose players, you reload. We didn't reload because Saban has taken the fence down. He takes what he wants and leaves us with the scraps. We must have a top 5 class every year or we're doomed to decline. Its really that simple.

Miles will sink his own ship. It's just a matter of how long it takes him to do it. The TAF big wigs will not stand for 9-3 or 8-4 seasons if Bama is going 12-0 or 11-1. It sucks for Miles that his worth as a coach is directly tied to how well his teams do against Bama, but that is the way it is. It's Cholly Mac vs. the Bear all over again. LSU can't afford to become an also-ran in the SEC championship race.
