Nice job.
I have never shot one but seems like it would be awkward to shoot.
How is the recoil on this?

There is definitely a learning curve for handguns, especially those w/ long eye relief scopes. Learning to use the scope takes time and practice. Handgun scopes are set up for 8-10" of eye relief. I have to have an adequate rest. I've learned how to make do w/ all kinds of different rests in the field.

Recoil isn't really that bad until you get to unported/unbraked heavy hitters like the 375 JDJ (270 gr bullet at 2100 fps). A heavy loaded 45 Colt or 44 Mag recoils more than this 7-08. OTOH, the 7-08 has a lot of muzzle flip (bout 45 degrees) and heavy muzzle blast. Ear plugs are a must.
