What musician did you dislike for a while but later became a fan of?

I used to hate Jay-Z. I know he is one of those fake wannabe gangsters pretended to be a drug kingpin like Drake but actually grew up in a nice home with both parents, most likely never experienced the struggle, probably never touched a food stamp and grew up next to captinpanic in a suburb

When MCHG came out I immediately thought it was going to be bad or average but I began to listen to some of the songs and they're not bad and I went back to listen to the blueprints which I had never heard before and I quite enjoyed it, really changed my point of view on jay-z although not the GOAT he's pretty good

There are probably several bands I didn't care for when I was 13, that I like now because I am...... Well, I am older than 13.

I still don't get why you think that fish tacos comment was so funny.

Ryan Adams - I resisted even giving him a serious listen for years just because of the people I knew who did listen to him. When my girlfriend and I were first getting together, she asked me to give him a serious listen and forget about the kinds of people I associated him with. I'm still not a "fan" per se, but I respect his music a lot more and I enjoy a number of his songs.

To answer your OP, I'll say Phish. When I was younger I just thought it was a bunch of acid induced circus music.

Now It's still acid induced circus music but I enjoy it.

Steely Dan. Not a huge fan, but I appreciate what they do.
