Freshman Kavahra Holmes arrested for simple battery

On Oct. 22, LSU Police Department officers responded to a fight near Broussard Hall. At the scene officers were approached by two subjects who said they were involved in a fight with another student, said LSUPD spokesman Capt. Cory Lalonde.
Witnesses identified Kavahra Holmes, 19, of 314 Armentine Cove, Breaux Bridge, as the man involved. Upon questioning, he admitted that he pushed and tackled one of the victims, Lalonde said. Holmes was arrested and issued a misdemeanor summons for simple battery.
Holmes, a redshirt freshman on the LSU football team, has not played or registered a statistic this season.

And are we really arresting kids for shite like this? Crazy. My brother and I would've been locked up a long time ago if they arrested people for tacking and pushing in public.
