I paid 18K for a 2006 Crew Cab F350 Dually with 68K miles in March 2009, put $4200 in it, and have since added 120K miles without issue. 6.0 is fine if you get one with low miles and are willing to immediately pay to have the issues corrected (deleted).

The only problem with a Duramax is it comes in a Chevy truck. The engines are good if you can stand the constant smoke screen.

only ones that have problems are the 01-04 LB7

injector design on these are pure crap!


Gm has tried numerous revisions ...the latest has a chrome ball and seat and they still fail prematurely...

I built a new race motor and installed it in 2/2013 after 40k miles I had to replace the new injectors...the injector failure had nothing to do with any high performance mods or use...

the 2006-2007 LBZ motors are the best.
