My buddy has a very old winchester in 38-40

I'd give my left pinky toe to own that thing in .357

I think the .30-30 will be far less common a generation from now. My generation doesn't seem to like it all that much. The internet has convinced them that it isn't good for killing deer.

I had a Savage 99 lever back in my youth chambered in 300 Savage. Killed many deer with it and traded it for a Remington 760 in 30-06. Decided years later to try to get the gun back and old' boy pawned it. Miss that gun and will probably buy another one day.
