Can't imagine he does much on the TE coaching either considering they shouldn't even exist in the game for LSU.

Exactly!

He was able to do what he could do and tossed out the CROB handlers but it was already too late. At least he told CROB it was becoming a huge distraction and to go ahead and commit to Bama ASAP instead of stringing LSU along.

Could this mean Stud is on his way out?

I hope so. He's been useless as an OC, developing NFL level OL's (hasn't been terrible, but we're not amazing either), and recruiting.

Can someone actually confirm or is this just an assumption?

I'm still grateful that he brought us back out of a 21-0 hole to beat Ole Miss 28-21 in 77, 78 or 79... One of those years...

One thing you can't knock on Stud with regards to recruiting are the in roads he's made in the Midwest. He's pulled some talented kids from that area the last 2-3 classes.

One of the funniest things I ever saw on the Rant was some dude wrote under the picture of Stud with Andy Dodd that Stud looked just lime Shrek

Not his fault. Crowton was looking for a different style oline. Once he left Stud started pulling in top-notch talent. Our oline is now at the level of our other position groups.

I STILL stop at every Shoney's I see when travelling out on the Interstates for a Hot Fudge Cake. Been sucking those things down since the 60's and still do when I get the chance.

Mention studs name amongst his coaching peers and hs coaches and see what they say about his ability to develop talent. I promise you it isn't flattering.

If so, this is very good news. I have believed for some time that a program of LSU's caliber is easily capable of finding a better coach & recruiter than Stud.

sounds good if true. we're going to need all hands on deck to keep Saban out of North Louisiana when he's at Texas next year.

Been a follower of the board for years but never had anything worth wild to post. I was on a recruiting visit with some kids from Evangel for the Kent St game. Haley told us we would see more of him because he was now covering north louisiana. He didn't give any reason just said we would get tired of seeing him
