Hopefully you don't think this board is reflective of most fans.

The younger fans are all too spoiled and don't want anything to do with the team if they aren't in the hunt for a national title, those fans need to go away anyway and if a disappointing season is all it will take, that's an easy price to pay for losing those fans.
There were tons of empty seats last night. There's only so much blame you can put on "young fans". But I have heard this down season to get rid of the bandwaggoners idea more than a few times. The problem with that theory is that winning attracts fans without the strongest ties. The idea that they wouldn't be back with a vengeance the next time LSU is really good (which will be quite soon), is laughable.

The NEZ and SEZ were probably >95% full. The East Upper bleachers were pretty full as was the visitor section (with LSU fans). I attribute this to the fact that it was Parents Weekend as well as HC. Furman had <1000 fans there and all the visitor sections were packed with P&G

The empty seats were mostly in the big money sidelines Lower bowl. I was on the West side so I could not tell about it but the east side looked about 60%.

Now after halftime ceremonies half the students left...
