As must as I love Mett and all the passing, it is one of the major reason we lose. As stated before, in our last 5 losses, 4 games where we had more passing plays vs running plays called, only 1 other since beginning last year (ole Miss)

2012 run / pass
Florida 21 / 29
Alabama 45 / 39
Clempson 19 / 29

2013 run / pass
Georgia 30 / 41
OleMiss 32 / 36

I know ya'll know better, but just wanted to share the real stuff.

Chicken or egg???

Losing in a game will dictate more passing... a figment of statistics.

In god we trust... All others bring data!

I'm gonna go with choking on the last drive on defense.

Pretty much why I get upset when people want us to run the fricking spread.

I like him too, but we are way undermanned with him not being mobile. Just watching this BYU game - their QB is a freaking stud. The whole joke @ Mett being a post really carries some water. And no, I'm not hating, but many of the successful college teams have somewhat mobile QB's that can in fact evade if necessary.

in 4 out of 5 losses, LSUBS88 has posted a thread on a Friday.

Maybe this will make it stop.

It makes perfect sense that when you are losing, like we were against Florida, Alabama, and Ole Miss that you are going to throw the ball to try and get down the field quicker. In the UGA game, you knew you had to match scores with them so again you couldn't afford to punt in that game.

Of those losses you mentioned, the only one that we shouldn't have passed as much was the Clemson game. Jeremy Hill should've been handed the ball 20+ times in the second half alone of that game.

The only game of those five that was lost because of excessive passing was the Clemson game, and that's just situational at the end, not a criticism of the general game strategy.

Meanwhile the defense gave up the winning score on the final drive in 4/5 games.

You're barking up the wrong tree.

Defense has given up game winning score in the last 4 losses. That is the issue.
