i hear you. guess im still caught up in the stoney brook series where he looked to be a real bright spot and a guy we could rely on in the future. the more i think of it, he didnt really do much in limited AB's last season. i have heard that newman has been great so far but is sidelined at the moment with an arm strain, not sure of the exact injury.

He was nails as a pinch hitter. He had a few game changing hits in last year's post-season.

He's an aggressive hitter with excellent bat control. He hardly strikes out, but he hardly walks either. He puts balls in play, but still bats .280. Works a pitcher, but a double play risk every time someone's on first. That's his on-the-field "issue". I can't speak for his work ethic or anything else like that that might have kept him off the field.
