I think kubiak just plain didn't like Sam and his work ethic and saw a chance to get rid of him.

It's kinda telling that kubiak forgives steroids users that can tackle and welcomes them back, but let's go of a guy for pot.

This is not isolated with the Texans.

Why do you think so many talented athletes have no fear of repercussions? It is because they have never had any.

The NFL is a "bottom-line" business. If you produce you get much more leeway. Montgomery got let go moreso for his lack of ability/production than for alleged drug use. I promise you, if he had 10 sacks right now he could be caught by the team making snow angels in a pile of cocaine and would still line up this Sunday
