This would be a much more complete argument if you included MSU. If you don't include them, you may as well not include Alabama, Florida, or Ole Miss (Teams we didn't fare well against).

I didn't include them because realistically they are not a threat and have not been one and have only once fielded a nationally relevant team (2010). I don't think many use Mississippi State as a benchmark for the program.
Just add as 6 to the totals and a 1 to the ranked teams. I don't see it changing a lot.
