The big problem is that I have really only seen one player ever really capable of pulling that off enough to make a difference. Otherwise, you just give up yards.

I agree, but honestly, their tackling hasn't been good even when they were NOT trying to strip the ball. Our defense is soft, period. That's why I didn't have a problem with it on Saturday.

I think that describes this team in a nutshell. They always try to do the things that should be done on top of fundamentals by themselves. They never seem to build upon their success and add these things after they are fundamentally sound, they just jump straight to the "fancy" things.
